FIRST ALERT!
A Larks member (Columbia, SC) has had an RC Bandit jet stolen from his
workshop just after Thanksgiving. If you have any leads or information about
where this jet may be, please contact:
The Bandit was built to BVM spec’s with all JR servos and a Smooth stop
brake actuator. It had a JR R1221
receiver with A123 batteries for
the flight pack. A name was under
the electronics tray (this may be
removed or changed) on an AMA
label and the turbine was a Jet
Cat P120SE. This is all standard
equipment per BVM. The one and
only thing that stands out is the
paint job. This is the only bandit
I know of painted this way.
SECOND ALERT!
Hobby Town owner, and Larks member, Mike Mills (Columbia, SC) had his
car broken into last night (12/16/09) along with four other vehicles. Missing
from Mike's car was a JR 12X Transmitter, in the case, an Eflite Apprentice, a
Bantam BC6, and a Honda 650ex generator. The 12X had programing for
Mike's L-39 Turbine Jet (fuel burning, not EDF). He doesn't have a serial
number for the Tx but if the theif isn't an RC person they probably have no
idea what is programed in the radio. If anyone has any information regarding
this theft, please contact:

and 6 guests attended. Members Fred Peters,
